Kristopher L. Anderson

Kristopher L. Anderson is the Manager of Sales & Sports Development for the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission (GCSC), whose goal is to make Greater Cleveland the nation’s foremost destination for amateur sporting events and activities. The organization is responsible for attracting, promoting and managing major amateur athletic events and creating sporting opportunities for youth and amateur athletes.

Kris has an impressive educational background that begins with a degree in Economics from The Ohio State University. He has since added two Masters Degrees from Cleveland State University, specifically, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Sports Management. The strength of this education has shown itself and made for an effortless transition from student to professional.

Kris began his career at the GCSC as an intern in the fall of 2006. He quickly advanced to a fellowship position where he served as Marketing & Sales Coordinator. In the several months that followed, Kris demonstrated that his knowledge and skills were a valuable asset to the Sports Commission and he was offered a roster spot on the full-time staff. As a Cleveland native and a huge sports fan, Kris seized the opportunity to help the GCSC in its mission of measurably enhancing the economy, image and quality of life in the Greater Cleveland community by attracting and creating significant sporting events and activities.

As the Manager of Sales & Sports Development, Kris is responsible for targeting potential sponsors and selling sponsorship to local and regional markets. He develops, sells and services integrated corporate marketing packages based on market and client needs analysis. Kris also assists in the researching and obtaining of information for events, as well as assisting in the writing and presenting of event bid proposals.
