Robert Marron
Robert T. Marron is the Vice-President of Sports Development for the Greater
Cleveland Sports Commission, whose goal is to make Greater Cleveland the
nation’s foremost destination for amateur sporting events and activities.
Prior to this position, Robert worked as a financial clerk at the Chicago Board
of Trade (CBOT) where he was responsible for creating new business development
for the brokerage firm along with overseeing the broker trading in the corn
options and futures pits. Highlights of his tenure include the creation of a new
business plan for a computerized on-floor trading system in addition to
implementing an educational program for the growth of this initiative.
Before his work at the CBOT, Robert served as an administrator for the National
Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics, a national organization that
serves as the professional association for those in the field of intercollegiate
athletics administration.
Robert’s volunteer positions include being a member of the Cleveland Athletic
Club Business Networking Committee, Cuyahoga County Continuum of Care Review
& Ranking Committee as well as being an alumnus of the Cleveland Bridge
Builders, an organization for young leaders poised to effectively shape the
future of the Greater Cleveland community. Robert has a Bachelor of Science
degree in marketing and public relations from Marquette University and is on
track to complete his M.B.A from Cleveland State University.
