Matt Sajna

Matt Sajna is the Operations Manager for Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. He assists with the planning and execution of each event hosted by the Sports Commission, and brings a strong passion for Cleveland and the sporting industry. He also oversees the organization's internship program. 

Sajna began his career at the Sports Commission as an Event Management intern, after which he transitioned into the role of Sports & Operations Coordinator for the 2013 National Senior Games. Following the Senior Games, he moved into his role as Event & Volunteer Coordinator. During his time with the organization, Sajna has had the opportunity to assist with several NCAA Championships events, USA National Governing Body events and other local events. He has also been able to provided guidance and leadership through his management of the Volunteer and Internship programs. 

Sajna is a graduate of Miami University, where he was a member of the RedHawk Baseball program. After college, Matt spent two season with the Akron Aeros, Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, serving as the team's bullpen catcher.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Sajna currently resides in Lakewood. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and outdoors in the Cleveland Metroparks - cycling, mountain biking, running with his dog Slider and rock climbing. He is an avid baseball fan and spends so much of his time following his favorite team, the Cleveland Indians. He also enjoys the great food and beer Cleveland has to offer, as well as the great music scene.
