Becky Griesmer is the Programming & Event Manager for Greater Cleveland Sports Commission (GCSC). She joined the team in the Fall of 2015 after graduating from Xavier University with a degree in Sport Management and minors in Business, Communication Arts and Gender & Diversity Studies.

Griesmer’s interest in the sporting industry began in 2010 when she interned with GCSC and was the lead student liaison for the World School Games. She continued her path in this field through internships with the Anthony Muñoz Foundation, Greater Cincinnati Sports Corporation, Greater Cincinnati Independent Business Alliance and Xavier University Athletics Department.

After graduation in May of 2015, Griesmer accepted a position at GCSC as the Event & Volunteer Fellow for the 2016 Donate Life Transplant Games. Her dedication and strong work ethic quickly led her to a fulltime position, primarily assisting with programming for GCSC’s Urban Youth Initiative. She is also responsible for recruiting and managing all volunteers, supporting the Associate Board and working with local hotels and housing for GCSC events.

Griesmer currently lives in Downtown Cleveland and is an active member on the board for the Cleveland chapter of Women in Sports and Events (WISE), the Cleveland Sports Professionals Committee and the Ambassador Council for the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring new restaurants and breweries in Cleveland, traveling and coaching varies levels of youth volleyball.
