Rules of Participation
Delegations to the World School Games consist of groups representing a secondary school, athletic conference or city.
- A delegation consists of athlete(s) or team(s) in one or more sports with no limit as to the number of different sports in which a delegation can participate.
- Athletes must be currently enrolled in the school that they represent at the time of competition.
- One or more coaches, who will stay in the dormitories and serve as a chaperone, must accompany each sports team from a delegation.
- A delegation must be accompanied by one coach/chaperone of the same sex for each eight or fewer athletes of that sex. A delegation may send additional chaperones to assure this ratio is met.
- Each delegation will designate one Head of Delegation (HOD) to serve as the primary contact with the World School Games organizers. The HOD may be a team coach or school administrator.
