Event Team

The Greater Cleveland Sports Commission is looking for a group of people to help staff each of the Sports Commission run events. This opportunity provides you with a hand on experience to further build your resume, connections, cultural connection and understanding of the world of sports business without a full time commitment!

 

Ideal candidates will have:

·  A high level of enthusiasm towards sports and business

·  A strong work ethic

·  Strong teamwork skills

·  The ability to keep pace and adapt to quick moving environment

 

1. Sports Commission “Event Crew”

The Event Crew will work hand and hand with the Sports Commission Operations team to assist in the set up, execution and load out of each event. Event Crew members will have the opportunity to oversee individual areas and grow their event management skills.

 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

· Assisting in event operations

· Overseeing/managing specific event areas

· Assist with arrangement of local meals, transportation and entertainment

 

2.  Sports Commission “Team Host”

Team Hosts are required to speak the language of their respective teams and serve as the liaison between the athletes/teams and the event to provide them with an easy transition as well as a well rounded experience here in Cleveland. (Language needs will be discussed on a per event basis)

 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
·  Welcoming team at arrival and assisting with check-in

·  Accompanying teams to all games, meals and tournament events

·  Assist with arrangement of local meals, transportation and entertainment

 

Compensation

In return for your time, effort, and commitment, the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission is pleased to provide Sports Commission Event Crew and Team Host members with the following:

· Hands on experience in the sports industry

· Opportunity to network with area/national professionals

· Meals during the event

· Event Staff Gear

· Financial stipend based on event days
