Meredith Scerba

Meredith A. Scerba is the Senior Vice President of Operations and Marketing for the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission (GCSC). She began her career at the Cleveland Cavaliers/Gund Arena company as the Groups Events Coordinator. Her responsibilities included developing, planning and executing all events conducted by the Group Sales Department with the overall goal of increasing ticket sales for the NBA Cavaliers, WNBA Rockers and Gund Arena Family Shows.

In 2005 she expanded her responsibilities and experience here at the Sports Commission where she oversees the planning, budgeting and operations of all GCSC events. In addition, she is responsible for the Community Development & Programming committee, managing and recruiting for both the volunteer and internship programs.

Over the past five years Meredith has been involved in a multitude of events ranging from national/international events such as the USA/Italy/Ireland Boxing Triad to mega events such as the NCAA Women’s Final Four. GCSC expanded their business model to create owned and operated events which Meredith has been involved in since the incubation years where she was instrumental in laying the ground work for these events such as the Continental Cup an international youth sporting festival.

Meredith’s extracurricular positions include serving as Board President of WISE (Women in Sports & Events) Cleveland chapter and an active board member for America SCORES Cleveland. Special honors include being honored in 2008 as one of Crain’s Cleveland Business Magazines’ Twenty in their Twenties recipients, chosen to be a part of the 2009 Bridge Builders Flagship program, recognized by the NBA League office for “Best Practices” and played a vital role in the success of the Cavaliers Group Sales Department when setting the new NBA record in sales with a new mark of 3.2 million in Groups tickets

She graduated from the University of Findlay, located in Findlay Ohio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Business Management. Meredith attended the university on a swimming scholarship, where she was an Academic All-American and team captain her junior and senior years.

Meredith resides in Westlake, OH with her husband Matt, an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist with Cenveo Inc..
