CLEVELAND, Ohio (August 1, 2016) – Pop rockers Wild Child will headline the NEOCycle Music Fest presented by ERC on Saturday and Sunday, September 10-11, the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission announced August, 1 2016. The Austin, Texas group will be joined by Northeast Ohio natives Carlos Jones and the PLUS Band, The Floorwalkers, The Lighthouse and the Whaler and the Moxies. More than ten other acts will also play the event at Edgewater Park. The NEOCycle Music Fest is part of NEOCycle presented by Ohio Savings Bank, the nation’s largest urban cycling festival.

The NEOCycle Music Fest anchors The Hub at Edgewater Park presented by Subaru, the bicycle and outdoor lifestyle festival along the Lake Erie waterfront that connects the six unique races and rides of NEOCycle. The Hub at Edgewater Park is free to the public and will feature a build-out from Ray’s Indoor Mountain Bike Park; Thriller BMX shows; stand-up paddleboard races and demos; kid’s zone; beer garden; and Cleveland’s top food trucks.

“NEOCycle is primed for huge growth in its third year and the Music Fest is an important part of the festival,” said David Gilbert, Greater Cleveland Sports Commission President and CEO. “This year’s line-up will provide a musical backdrop to a weekend of cycling, food, drinks and fun at beautiful Edgewater Park. NEOCycle was created to highlight and promote Cleveland’s vibrant and growing bicycling culture and stimulate significant economic activity, and the Music Fest is just one feature that makes the event the country’s most unique cycling event.”

Also taking the stage will be MojoFlo, Mike Mains and the Branches, Thaddeus Anna Greene, Oldboy, Scarlet & the Harlots, Samfox, Lauren Lanzaretta, Jason Meyers Band, Nate Jones Band, and Squarebiz aka dj funk Shway. The full schedule will be released at a later date. Fans can check www.NEOCycle.org for the latest line-up and schedule info.

Made up of Kelsey Wilson on violin and vocals, Alexander Beggins on ukulele and vocals, Evan Magers on keyboards, Sadie Wolfe on cello, Chris D’Annunzio on bass, Drew Brunetti on drums, and Matt Bradshaw on trumpet, Wild Child has built a sprawling grassroots following on the strength of high-spirited live shows that feel like self-contained joy benders, along with two precocious albums. Since forming five years ago after Kelsey and Alexander met during a stint as members of a backup band for a Danish artist’s U.S. tour, Wild Child has gone from playing shows for nine people to selling out venues across North America and Europe.

The nation’s first and largest urban cycling festival, NEOCycle combines six unique races and rides with live music at an action-filled festival at The Hub at Edgewater Park on the beautiful shores of Lake Erie. NEOCycle rides and races include the NEOCycle Night Ride presented by Cuyahoga Community College; MCPc Fundo presented by Bike Cleveland; Edgewater Cyclocross; CWRU Cycling Criterium; Cross Country MTB presented by Partners, an Environmental, Engineering and Surveying Firm and Velodrome.
