  • JVA Rock 'n' Rumble brings $2.5 million to Cleveland

    CLEVELAND (Jan. 15, 2016) – Bump, set and spike are the terms of the weekend at the FirstMerit Convention Center of Cleveland as The Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) Rock ‘n’ Rumble presented by Rox Volleyball brings over 2,600 athletes on 253 teams to Cleveland. The event is the largest junior volleyball event in Cleveland history, featuring teams from 10 states and Canada, and will infuse $2.5 million of economic activity locally. The build-out for the event consists of 36 volleyball courts which occupy the entire Convention Center exhibit hall.

    The Sports Commission and JVA are in the first year of a three year agreement to host the event in Cleveland. Along with a large economic impact, the Rock ‘n’ Rumble will showcase Downtown Cleveland and the surrounding region as an outstanding visitor destination and host for major sporting event to an estimated 10,000 visitors. The event also fills the Convention Center on an important winter holiday weekend.

We couldn't be more excited to share the high quality event and competition with our competing member clubs, participants, and spectators.”

    Action gets underway on Saturday, January 16 and will continue through Sunday afternoon.
