Over the years, the Continental Cup has featured more than 2,300 teams from 37 different countries. This year, teams from Kenya, Argentina, Greece, Burkina Faso, Pakistan, Uganda, Nepal, Portugal, Brazil and Indonesia are currently making arrangements to travel to Northeast Ohio for a thrilling week of competition and cultural exchange.

“We are thrilled about the international response to this year’s 11th Annual Continental Cup,” said David Lipinsky, Business Development Coordinator at the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. “With teams from Africa, Asia, South America and Europe joining hundreds of teams from across the US and Canada, the Continental Cup will again allow young athletes from across the world to create lifelong memories together.”

The teams will experience more than competition on the field. A full slate of ancillary events, including the Opening Festival, Beats and Eats, a Bowling Night and a trip to a local fun park, will keep athletes busy as during their week. These ancillary events also allow for athletes from all different countries to interact and make lasting friendships off the field.
