Todd Adams joins the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission (GCSC) team as its Partner Services and Marketing Coordinator. A new resident to Cleveland and the state of Ohio, Todd is excited to be involved with enhancing the economy, image and quality of life in the Greater Cleveland community by attracting and creating significant sporting events and activities.
Prior to his current role with the Sports Commission, Todd most recently held the position of Print Project Manager at Old Hat Creative, a sports design and marketing agency based out of Norman, Oklahoma. While at Old Hat, Todd managed a team of five designers while overseeing the production of print projects for over 50 collegiate and professional sports clients.
Todd began his career as a marketing and graphic design intern with the Orlando Magic. From there, he became a marketing graduate assistant in the Florida State athletics department. At FSU, he was second in command in marketing the men’s basketball program, which included overseeing promotions, game day entertainment, sponsorship execution and on-court contests. He also managed all marketing and game operations efforts for the Seminole Softball program. He has also worked for the Oklahoma City Thunder as a member of the game day marketing staff.
Todd was born and raised in Baton Rouge, La. He graduated from LSU with a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and a minor in French. While at LSU, Todd was the university’s mascot, Mike the Tiger, for four years, participating in every sport, as well as multiple football bowl games and NCAA Final Fours for both men’s and women’s basketball. He later went on to earn a Master’s degree in Sport Management from Florida State University.
Todd lives in downtown Cleveland and in his spare time enjoys watching television, including all types of sports, staying physically active, being outdoors, traveling, and volunteering in the community. Todd is also a high-school football official as well as a masters competitive rower.
