Cleveland Baseball Day

Work hard. Dream big. Play ball!

As part of Greater Cleveland Sports Commission's Velocity programming, Cleveland Baseball Day presented by FirstEnergy Foundation will provide about 1,000 underserved children in Greater Cleveland an opportunity to experience MLB Play Ball Park at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland for free on Monday, July 8, 2019.

The day will include a boxed lunch held at Willard Park in Downtown Cleveland. Upon arrival at the park, each kid will receive a t-shirt and other giveaways, as well as tickets to MLB Play Ball Park, where they'll have access to activities and exhibits throughout the community event.

GCSC will be recruiting groups to participate in Cleveland Baseball Day from several community organizations for this free event. Recruitment may include groups from City of Cleveland Recreation Centers, Boys and Girls Clubs, sports or summer camps through underserved suburban groups.

Participants will be grouped into three schedules based on availability and preference during registration:

  • Group A: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (lunch at 1 p.m.)
  • Group B: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. (lunch at 11 a.m.)
  • Group C: 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. (lunch at 12 p.m.)

MLB Play Ball Park is an interactive festival celebrating baseball during one of the most exciting weeks of baseball in Cleveland.
