Award winners were announced live at the 20th Greater Cleveland Sports Awards. Each award winner from each category is listed under their respective category below.

The finalists in the following categories are based on highest number of votes: male and female high school athlete of the year, male and female collegiate athlete of the year and professional athlete of the year.

Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Cuyahoga Community College - The Dolan Family

Sports Development Gold Medalist Award - The Cleveland Indians 

2019 Best Moment in Cleveland Sports presented by JACK Entertainment  - MLB All-Star Summer

Local sports and media outlets are invited to nominate athletes and select finalists from Northeast Ohio from the following nine counties: Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Stark and Summit.
