As retired individuals, my wife and I are having some of the best experiences in our lives, playing in pickleball tournaments and meeting players around the country.  It is amazing how quickly your circle of friends grows when you begin playing this sport. In December of 2024 I was able to compete in the Pickle in the Land Tournament, among other tournaments, and found it to be one of the best tournaments I’ve played in.  I enjoyed it so much that I volunteered to be an ambassador this year and I travel from NY to join in the fun.  The tournament is about the perfect size, with a nice range of skill and age categories.  It's indoors, in downtown Cleveland, where there are tons of places to eat, drink and generally have a good time.  I met nice players who traveled from Columbus, Erie, Buffalo to participate.
