Winning moment to be announced on Jan. 25 during 23rd Greater Cleveland Sports Awards

CLEVELAND – 2022 Best Moment in Cleveland Sports presented by JACK Entertainment contest is now open. Greater Cleveland Sports Commission (GCSC) is encouraging local sports fans to share their favorite fan moment from the 2022 Cleveland sports season and “show their game face” by submitting a photo of themselves, or with their family and friends, rooting on their favorite Cleveland home team.
GCSC is accepting submissions for its 2022 Best Moment contest via its website beginning today. Submissions are free and open to the public and must include a photo of the contestant in Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers or Cleveland Guardians gear along with their favorite moment from the 2022 Cleveland sports season. The deadline to enter submissions is Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, at 5 p.m. EST. Must be 21 years of age to enter. Rules and regulations for the contest are available here. Winners of the Best Moment contest will be notified on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023.
The 2022 Best Moment in Cleveland Sports, celebrating the most iconic sports achievement from the previous year, will be announced live during 23rd Greater Cleveland Sports Awards presented by Medical Mutual and Ancora on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse (RMFH).
This year’s Best Moment winner will receive a JACK Cleveland Casino Staycation including a one (1)-night stay at The Ritz-Carlton Cleveland, two (2) Seven Chefs Buffet passes, $100 Free Play card and complimentary valet parking, a $550 total value.
Additionally, the winner will receive two (2) tickets to Sports Awards, which includes a cocktail hour presented by Medical Mutual and Ancora in the RMFH Atrium featuring appetizers, open bar, high-end food stations and a Silent Auction presented by Physicians Ambulance. Following the cocktail hour, guests will head to their seats in the arena bowl for refreshments, drinks compliments of Beverage Distributors and Miller Lite, and a live awards program led by Joe Thomas, Cleveland Browns Legend. Post-show, guests are invited to the event’s After Party in the RMFH Atrium, courtesy of Westfield, featuring a specialty martini and dessert bar, food stations and a live DJ.
In addition to the Best Moment contest, the 2022 Best Moment in Cleveland Sports presented by JACK Entertainment will be a featured award announced during the live awards show. Last year, Best Moment was awarded to the Cleveland Browns for the 2021 NFL Draft in The Land.
