GCSC WELCOMES 1,000 WRESTLERS FOR USA WRESTLING U23 NATIONALS AND U20 WORLD TEAM TRIALS AT SPIRE

Top wrestlers in the nation compete for a spot to represent the U.S. at 2023 UWW World Championships

CLEVELAND Greater Cleveland Sports Commission (GCSC) will welcome over 1,000 wrestlers from across the country to compete in Greco-Roman and Men’s Freestyle matches during USA Wrestling’s U23 Nationals and U20 World Team Trials presented by Wrestlers in Business Network on June 2-4, 2023 at SPIRE Academy in Geneva, OH.

The championship will feature U23 (ages 18-23) and U20 (Juniors, ages 18-20) weight classes who will compete for a spot to represent the United States at the 2023 UWW World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia this September. Additionally, the top 8 place winners in the U20 division, who are age and grade eligible will qualify for the Junior and 16U National Championships in Fargo, ND later in the summer.

Ticket prices range from $20 for single-day adult tickets ($10 for youth) to $50 for adult weekend passes ($25 for youth) and are available for purchase online. Children 5 and under are free. A full schedule of events is available here.

In partnership with USA Wrestling and SPIRE Academy, GCSC will once again host this three-day competition estimated to generate $1,500,000 in economic impact to Northeast Ohio. More event information is available at clevelandsports.org/usawrestling.
