PICKLE IN THE LAND: DEC. 13-15 AT HUNTINGTON CONVENTION CENTER OF CLEVELAND
More than 720 registrants from 21 U.S. States, DC and Canada are registered to compete

CLEVELAND, OH – Dec. 11, 2024 – Pickle in the Land presented by Nature Stone Flooring will take place Dec. 13-15, 2024, at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. More than 720 participants from 21 U.S. States, DC and Canada are registered to compete. Schedule and more information can be found here.

Pickle in the Land is not a ticketed event; it is free and open to the public. Spectators can enjoy vendor village that includes sampling, giveaways, interactive activities, a live broadcast from Rock Entertainment Sports Network, food and beverage options, and competitive pickleball matches all day long.

Greater Cleveland Sports Commission’s (GCSC) Youth Education through Sports (YES) Pickleball Program, presented by The Sherwin-Williams Company, will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Hall C at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. YES programs provide northeast Ohio’s under resourced youth with experiences that illustrate how sports empower and prepare people for success in life.

The clinic will consist of a free day of programming for 150 participants, ages 8-16 years old, from a variety of local youth-serving organizations, including City of Cleveland Recreation Centers, Empower Sports, Advantage Cleveland, Near West Recreation, and more. Youth will learn the basics of pickleball, get to watch Pickle in the Land competition, explore vendors on-site, and participate in a variety of other activities focused on general health and wellness. The day will also include lunch and equipment that the individual participants and their groups can take with them as they continue to practice the sport.

As part of this event, GCSC is hosting a pickleball themed Equipment Drive to be able to create positive change and leave a legacy within the community. Items must be new or gently used and will be donated back to the local community to continue to expand the sport for both children and adults. Items we are looking for include: Pickleball paddles (youth or adult) and balls (indoor or outdoor), carrying bags (sling packs, bookbags, drawstrings), practice equipment (cones, ball machines, collapsible nets). Collection bins will be located near the Pickle in the Land Tournament Desk at the Convention Center Dec. 13-15.
