MEDIA CREDENTIALS OPEN FOR 25th GREATER CLEVELAND SPORTS AWARDS ON FEB. 6, 2025

Additional celebrities announced, including former members of NBA, MLB, and NFL

CLEVELAND, OH – Jan. 23, 2025 – The 25th Annual Greater Cleveland Sports Awards, presented by Medical Mutual and Ancora, is the premier annual sports fundraiser supporting the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. The event will be held on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m.

Media interested in attending should submit credential requests here by Sunday, Feb. 2, at 5 p.m. EST.

Greater Cleveland Sports Awards recognizes the achievements of local and professional athletes across various sports while bringing together local leaders, business figures, and sports fans for a night of celebration and inspiration, showcasing the outstanding contributions Cleveland has made to the world of sports.

In addition to the celebrities announced as part of the Fireside Chat, below is a list of guests that will be making appearances at the show:

Cleveland natives:

  • Katie Moon (Olmsted Falls High School), American pole vaulter; gold medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, 2022 and 2023 World Athletics Championships; silver medalist at the 2022 World Indoor Championships and the 2024 Summer Olympics
  • Ted Ginn Jr. (Glenville High School), former NFL player, Ohio State University alum and 2004 Collegiate Athlete of the Year at Cleveland Sports Awards

Former members of the NBA:

  • Daniel “Booby” Gibson, former member of the Cleveland Cavaliers and current broadcaster for BIGPLAY Network
  • Anderson Varejao, former member of the Cleveland Cavaliers and current Player Development Consultant and Global Ambassador for the Cleveland Cavaliers

Former members of the MLB:

  • Rajai Davis, former member of the Cleveland Indians and current MLB Baseball Operations staff member
  • Jensen Lewis, former member of the Cleveland Indians and current sports host and analyst for VSiN (Vegas Sports Information Network) and MLB Network Radio and TV (VIDEO)

Former member of the Cleveland Browns Josh Cribbs (2010 Professional Athlete of the Year at Cleveland Sports Awards).

All celebrity appearances are subject to change.

Tickets are still available and can be purchased online. New in 2025 is a $75 admission ticket to the Diehard District presented by K&D Group and ESPN Cleveland. Each ticket will include a $10 loaded value for concessions and access to the After Party, presented by Westfield.
