HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE 26th GREATER CLEVELAND SPORTS AWARDS

CLEVELAND, OH – Feb. 5, 2026 – 26th Greater Cleveland Sports Awards, presented by Ancora and Minutemen Workforce Solutions, announced the best of Cleveland sports in 2025 on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, at Rocket Arena. Sports Awards is the premier annual fundraiser that supports Greater Cleveland Sports Commission (GCSC) and celebrates a year of athletic achievements in Northeast Ohio from high school stars to professional athletes.

Highlights from tonight’s show included Myles Garrett receiving the 2025 Professional Athlete of the Year award, presented by Physicians Ambulance. The award was accepted by Cleveland Browns General Manager, Andrew Berry, on behalf of Myles Garrett, who was unable to attend in-person.

Cavaliers legends Austin Carr and Campy Russell presented the Male and Female Collegiate Athlete of the Year, presented by H. Jack's Plumbing & Heating Co., the "Super Plumber!"

Mark Schwab of Rock Entertainment Sports Network and 19 News moderated an exclusive Fireside Chat, presented by betJACK. Schwab led a deep-dive conversation with some of the key architects and personalities of the 2016 NBA championship run. The featured panel included:

• David Griffin: Cavaliers General Manager (2014 - 2017)
• J.R. Smith: Member of 2016 Championship Team
• Iman Shumpert: Member of 2016 Championship Team

The Cleveland Guardians 2025 Post Season was announced as the 2025 Best Moment in Cleveland Sports presented by JACK Entertainment. (VIDEO) Local sports broadcaster Andre Knott interviewed 2025 American League Manager of the year, Stephen Vogt, live from Goodyear, Arizona.

Winners from each category were announced live at the event. Each award recipient is highlighted under their respective category.
