CLEVELAND (April 21, 2026) – The 2026 American Cornhole League (ACL) Cleveland Signature Open makes its debut in Northeast Ohio this weekend, hosted by the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission (GCSC). From Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26, the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland will transform into a hub of cornhole competition, featuring over 400 registered players and 10 professional teams from across the country. Staying true to the league's motto, "Anyone Can Play, Anyone Can Win," the tournament offers opportunities for competitors of all skill levels to participate alongside the sport's top professionals.
This weekend marks the third ACL Pro event of the season and features a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000. The weekend is projected to generate an estimated $1,000,000 in economic impact in Northeast Ohio, drawing fans and competitors from across the United States.
Event Highlights:
- Pro & Amateur Competition: The tournament features events for all skill levels, including Open Events for amateurs and the high-stakes ACL Pro Teams Week 2 showdown.
- Diverse Divisions: Competition includes specialized categories such as USA Forces Doubles (for military and first responders), College and High School championships, and Pro Senior and Junior divisions.
- Broadcast Action: Major matches, including the Pro Signature Singles and Doubles, will be part of the ACL’s national broadcast schedule on ESPN+ throughout the weekend.
- Fair Play Initiative: The event will be supported by certified ACL officials to ensure the highest standards of competitive integrity.
Weekend Schedule Summary:
- Friday, April 24: Doors open at 8:00 a.m. Features include College Singles, USA Forces Doubles, and the Amateur-only Crew Cup. Pro Signature Doubles event begins at 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday, April 25: Competition intensifies with ACL Pro Teams match-ups and Pro Signature Singles. The evening concludes with a featured broadcast of ACL Pro Teams action.
- Sunday, April 26: Final brackets for Tiered Singles (Tiers 1, 4, and 5) begin at 9:00 a.m., crowning the weekend’s champions.
