USA WRESTLING WORLD TEAM TRIALS AND U23 NATIONALS TAKE CENTER STAGE AT SPIRE ACADEMY
Road to World Championships runs through Northeast Ohio as 1,200 wrestlers compete this weekend.
Cleveland, Ohio – May 26, 2026 – Nearly 1,200 wrestlers from across the country will compete at the 2026 U23 Nationals & U20 World Team Trials (Men's) May 29 through May 31, at SPIRE Academy.
Athletes will battle it out in Greco-Roman and Men’s Freestyle divisions for the ultimate prize: a chance to represent the United States on the world stage. These high-stakes trials are part of the official pathway to the World Championships, governed by United World Wrestling (UWW) and USA Wrestling (USAW) rules.
Action begins this Friday, May 29, with Greco-Roman competition in both the U20 and U23 divisions. On Saturday, men’s freestyle action kicks off for both age groups. The U23 Men’s freestyle tournament concludes on Sunday, May 31. This event is co-hosted by Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and SPIRE Academy. This three-day competition is expected to generate an estimated $1.5M in direct spending to Northeast Ohio.
Tickets can be purchased online: Adult Weekend Pass $65, Youth Weekend Pass $30, Adult Single Day Ticket $30, Youth Single Day Ticket $15. Doors open to spectators at 9 a.m. on all event days.
