Cleveland Power of Sports Summit

Adaptive Sports / Sports For All

Thanks to everyone who joined us for a fun and engaging educational session about adaptive sports and how to include athletes of all abilities in sports and recreation.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Learn about disability awareness, including different kinds of disabilities, how disabilities do or do not impact a person’s life, common misconceptions about disabilities, and how to appropriately talk about disabilities
  • Join demonstrations and hands-on activities to better understand how sports and recreation can be adapted so everyone can participate
  • Engage with and learn from local athletes with disabilities
  • Reflect on their experience at the Cleveland Power of Sport Summit Series and determine how they can enact positive change in their communities
