Cleveland Pickleball Challenge

Get your dinks ready for a pickleball party like no other!

Pickleball players of all skill levels are welcome to join us for our Inaugural Cleveland Pickleball Challenge on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023, at the Nautica Entertainment Complex.

We invite the local Cleveland corporate community to sign up their team(s) for this pickleball fundraiser supporting our local nonprofit, Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.

The tournament day will feature awards & prizes, celeb matches, local industry face offs, live music, food, beverages and more. This won't be your typical pickleball tournament! Spectator passes are also available for purchase to cheer on your favorite picklers.

Divisions

Dinkers (2.0 rating & below)

  • Beginner
  • Ability to hit simple shots with shorter rallies
  • Basic understanding of rules and scoring

Picklers (2.5 – 3.0 rating)

  • Intermediate
  • Ability to hit a mix of shots and sustain longer rallies
  • Understands rules and basic strategy

Big Dills (3.5 rating & higher)

  • Advanced
  • Ability to hit a wide variety of shots and has achieved stroke dependability with directional control
  • Strategic with shot choice and placement

Event Format

  • Gender-neutral tournament with no age divisions
  • Pool Play Competition: three games guaranteed with championship matches to follow

Schedule

  • 1pm: Event Check-In & Practice
  • 3pm: Matches Begin
  • 6:30pm: Championship Matches

This is an outdoor event subject to the weather. No refunds or credit will be issued for cancellation of events due to inclement weather. We will do all we can to play all matches including modifying the format/timing if necessary.

All event proceeds benefit our local nonprofit, Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.
